Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel your heavyparts.ai subscription. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time. There are two ways:
Option 1 — In-app cancellation (preferred)
- Sign in to your heavyparts.ai account.
- Click your user avatar in the top right of the app.
- Select Manage Subscription (this opens your account billing page).
- Click Cancel Subscription and confirm.
You will receive an email confirmation of cancellation immediately.
Option 2 — By email
Email team@heavyparts.ai with:
- Subject line: "Cancel Subscription"
- Body: the email address associated with your account
We process email cancellations within 1 business day and confirm by reply.
2. When Cancellation Takes Effect
Cancellation stops the next auto-renewal. You continue to have full access to your current plan until the end of your current billing cycle.
For example, if you subscribed on the 5th of the month and cancel on the 15th:
- You keep full access until the end of the cycle (next bill date, around the 5th of the next month)
- You are not charged for the following month
- After the cycle ends, your account is downgraded
3. What Happens After the Cycle Ends
After your final paid cycle ends:
- Paid features (Pro Search mode, Machine Lock filter, unmasked widgets, the daily/monthly query allowance for your tier) become unavailable.
- You retain read-only access to your account, including session history and saved messages.
- You can re-subscribe at any time to restore full access (see Section 5).
4. No Early-Termination Fees
There are no early-termination fees, exit fees, or hidden charges. You can cancel any time without penalty.
5. Re-Subscribing
If you cancel and later want to re-subscribe:
- You can re-subscribe at any time via the Service.
- Your previous account, session history, and saved messages are restored automatically — subject to the data retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
- If pricing has changed since your previous subscription, you will be charged the then-current price.
- Founding member / Early Bird pricing may not be available if the program has closed. We do not guarantee re-eligibility for promotional or limited-time tiers.
6. Refunds on Cancellation
Cancellation alone does not trigger a refund — you keep access until the end of your paid period.
If you want a refund in addition to canceling, see our Refund Policy:
- Within 7 days of payment: full refund (immediate cancellation + refund)
- Within 8–30 days: prorated refund on request
- After 30 days: no refund, but cancellation continues as described above
7. Canceling vs. Closing Your Account
These are different actions:

To close your account entirely, email team@heavyparts.ai with the subject line "Close Account". Account closure is irreversible. Subject to legally required retention (e.g., tax records), your data will be deleted within 90 days of the closure request. See our Privacy Policy Section 7 for full details.
8. Inactive Accounts
If your account remains inactive (no sign-in or queries) for 24 consecutive months, we may flag it for closure with at least 30 days' advance email notice. Subscribed accounts are not subject to this rule while billing is active.
9. Subscription Pausing
We do not currently support pausing a subscription. To stop billing temporarily:
- Cancel your subscription (you keep access until the end of the cycle).
- Re-subscribe when you're ready (subject to current pricing).
We may introduce pausing as a feature in the future. Updates will be reflected in this policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days in advance.
